The 2023 Emmy Award nominations were announced yesterday (via SFFGazette.com), and it might just be the biggest year for genre television yet.

It wasn't the best year for horror (it never is), but a couple of noteworthy shows did get some love, with HBO's The Last of Us and Showtime's Yellowjackets both nominated for Outstanding Drama Series.

On the acting front, Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey picked up acting noms for The Last of Us, while Murray Bartlett and Nick Offerman, who played Frank and Bill, respectively, in the standout "Long Long Time" episode, were both nominated for Outstanding Guest Actor In A Drama Series.

Keivonn Montreal Woodard was also nominated for Best Guest Actor in a Drama Series. At only 10 years of age, he is the youngest actor to ever be nominated in the category.

For Yellowjackets, Melanie Lynskey (who also appeared in The Last of Us) earned a nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series.

In addition, Predator prequel movie, Prey, was nominated for Outstanding TV movie.

One notable "snub" (depending on who you ask, of course) was Prime Video's massive-budget The Lord of the Rings series, The Rings of Power.

Check out a full list of the major nominations below.

Watch the 75th Emmy Awards on Monday, Sept. 18 on Fox YV.
