After playing a lead role in Fear The Walking Dead right from the very first episode, Alycia Debnam-Carey has confirmed that she's now officially parted ways with the AMC spinoff series.

In last night's penultimate season 7 episode, "Amina," Alicia appeared to perish after being bitten by a walker... or did she?

Throughout the episode, we saw the fever-stricken heroine converse with a little girl who turned out to be an hallucination of her younger self. Once Alicia realized this, she seemed to wake up feeling fine and set off on her own while her friends made it to safety.

Some viewers believe this was supposed to represent Alicia "ascending to heaven", but wouldn't her severed arm be returned to her if it was just a vision of the afterlife? It's possible AMC simply wanted to leave things ambiguous just in case, but either way, Debnam-Carey is done with the show... for now!

Alicia may return down the line of course - the character's mother, Kim Dickens' Madison, will be back next year after being "killed off" in season 4 - but for now, the gang will have to make do without their resourceful leader.
