As production on Rob Zombie's feature reboot of The Munsters continues in Budapest, the rocker-turned filmmaker has taken to social media to share a first look at Lilly's werewolf brother Lester.
Lester Dracula, as he was known in the original series, was played by Irwin Charone as an “entrepreneurial wolfman with a history of bad investments.” 3 from Hell actor Tomas Boykin will take on the role for the movie.
"Straight from the set of THE MUNSTERS in beautiful downtown Budapest I give Lily’s werewolf brother LESTER as played by TOMAS BOYKIN," Zombie captioned his post. "I am sure many of you may recognize Tomas from his appearance in 3 From Hell as Derek Zoom, a vocal Spaulding supporter. 🦇 Get ready for Lester. He’s gonna make you howl with laughter."
Boykin joins Jeff Daniel Phillips as Herman Munster, Sheri Moon Zombie as Lily Munster, and Daniel Roebuck as Grandpa Munster.
We recently learned that The Munsters had earned a Parental Guidance rating for "Macabre and suggestive material, scary images and language."
The supporting cast includes Richard Brake as Dr. Henry Augustus Wolfgang, Catherine Schell as Zoya Krupp the gypsy queen, Cassandra "Elvira" Peterson as Barbara Carr, and Jorge as a new character named Floop, who is described as “Dr. Wolfgang’s hunchback assistant and Herman Munster’s best buddy.”
The movie will be released by Universal Home Entertainment, and there's a lot of speculation that it'll be a Peacock exclusive. This has yet to be confirmed, but all episodes of the classic '60s series are currently available to watch on the streaming service.
