Munsters fans have been anxiously awaiting a first look at some footage from Rob Zombie's feature reimagining of the classic TV series, and while there's still no sign of a teaser, the rocker-turned filmmaker continues to share behind-the-scenes shot via Instagram.
Now, Zombie has given his followers a first colour look at Jeff Daniel Phillips (Herman Munster), Sheri Moon Zombie (Lily Munster) and Daniel Roebuck (Grandpa Munster) as they prepare to shoot a scene.
"A view from my monitor," Zombie captioned his post. "Three very tired Munsters trying to conserve their energy between takes. It’s been a tough one for this trio. Three hours in makeup - 14 hours of shooting - one hour of clean up. Then a drive back to the hotel, grab a few zzz and straight back on set. It’s definitely the end of a long day here. Outside the stage, the sun is definitely beginning to rise. Working from sunrise to sunrise. Cheers to these three for always bringing the thunder."
We recently learned that The Munsters had earned a Parental Guidance rating for "Macabre and suggestive material, scary images and language."
The supporting cast includes Richard Brake as Dr. Henry Augustus Wolfgang, Catherine Schell as Zoya Krupp the gypsy queen, Cassandra "Elvira" Peterson as Barbara Carr, and Jorge as a new character named Floop, who is described as “Dr. Wolfgang’s hunchback assistant and Herman Munster’s best buddy.”
The movie will be released by Universal Home Entertainment, and there's a lot of speculation that it'll be a Peacock exclusive. This has yet to be confirmed, but all episodes of the classic '60s series are currently available to watch on the streaming service.
