Searchlight Pictures has shared the first official teaser trailer for upcoming indie horror thriller, The Menu, and it looks like a deliciously twisted tale with unexpected bite.

Okay, we're done with the food puns (maybe). Anya Taylor-Joy (The Northman, The Witch) and Nicholas Hoult (Mad Max: Fury Road, X-Men: First Class) play a couple who travel to a remote island where a renowned chef (Ralph Fiennes) is hosting a dinner party for a group of elite guests. Joy's character is clearly uncomfortable, which does not go unnoticed.

The trailer doesn't spell anything out, but based on some of the carnage glimpsed towards the end, we're going to assume this chef is serving up more than a few Michelin star steaks - and may have his eye on a certain young woman to complete his menu.

A couple (Anya Taylor-Joy and Nicholas Hoult) travels to a coastal island getaway to eat at an exclusive restaurant where the chef (Ralph Fiennes) has prepared a lavish menu, with some shocking surprises.

Directed by Mark Mylod (Ali G In da House, The Big White, What's Your Number?) and written by Seth Reiss and Will Tracy, The Menu also stars John Leguizamo, Judith Light, and Hong Chau. The film is set for release in US theaters exclusively starting on November 18th.
