Drew Goddard's meta horror comedy The Cabin in The Woods proved to be a very pleasant surprise when it was released back in 2011, and fans have been hoping to see the movie get the steelbook treatment for many years.
Now, Lionsgate has announced that a brand new 4K Ultra HD steelbook version of The Cabin in The Woods will arrive on April 19.
The bonkers, blood-soaked movie stars Kristen Connolly, Chris Hemsworth, Anna Hutchison, Fran Kranz and Jesse Williams as a group of school friends who travel to a remote cabin for the weekend. It's a very familiar set-up (that's the point), but things soon take an unexpected turn when the group discovers that they're actually pawns in a twisted game designed to keep an ancient deity from unleashing hell on earth.
