Vudu has announced that Ghostbusters: Afterlife has nabbed the top spot on their streaming chart for last week, followed by House of Gucci and American Underdog!

Ghostbusters: Afterlife, which is now available to rent, topped Vudu, Fandango's on-demand streaming service, last week (January 31st - February 6th).

Other new-to-Vudu titles included Zachary Levi's Kurt Warner biopic American Underdot, which debuted at #3, and action comedy Last Looks, starring Charlie Hunman, Morena Baccarin and Mel Gibson, landed at #17.

Ghostbusters: Afterlife is based upon the 1984 film Ghostbusters and serves as the sequel to 1989's Ghostbusters II. Set 32 years after the events of Ghostbusters II, it follows a single mother and her children who move to Oklahome farm that they inherited from her estranged father.

The film stars Carrie Coon, Finn Wolfhard, McKenna Grace, and Paul Rudd. The film is directed by Jason Reitman.

From director Jason Reitman and producer Ivan Reitman, comes the next chapter in the original Ghostbusters universe. In Ghostbusters: Afterlife, when a single mom and her two kids arrive in a small town, they begin to discover their connection to the original ghostbusters and the secret legacy their grandfather left behind.
