Showtime recently announced that mysterious horror-tinged drama series, Yellowjackets, will return to our screens on March 24, 2023, and the network has now debuted some first-look promo stills featuring new cast member Lauren Ambrose.

The Servant and 6 Feet Under actress will play the adult version of Van, who did not have the best time of things on the island. As you can see from the images below, Van is still sporting the facial scars from her terrifying wolf attack.

Van seems to be happy at her job, but something tells us her sunny disposition will change when she runs into Shauna (Melanie Lynskey), Misty (Christina Ricci), Natalie (Juliette Lewis), and Taissa (Tawny Cypress)!

Check out the new stills below.

Ambrose joins fellow new recruit Elijah Wood as a character named Walter, “whose arc will intertwine with Misty in significant ways,” while adult Lottie - who we now know survives the events of the island - will be played by Simone Kessell.

If you're unfamiliar with Yellowjackets, we highly recommend adding it to your must-watch list. The show has been referred to as a mash-up of Lost and Lord of the Flies, and while those comparisons are valid, it's very much its own, compelling, grim, hilarious, messed-up thing.

Playing out in two timelines, the story focuses on a school soccer team (the Yellowjackets of the title) who are forced to eke out an existence on a remote island when their plane crashes in 1996. We also follow the four main survivors in the present as they struggle with the lengths they had to go to in order to stay alive over two decades earlier.

Oh, and there's some kind of dark supernatural force at play on the island... or is there?
