Six years after Teen Wolf wrapped its 100-episode run, the McCall Pack is back in action in Teen Wolf: The Movie, a feature-length adventure that sees Scott McCall (Tyler Posey) and his extended family reunite to take on a threat more dangerous than any they've faced before.

The upcoming film, which premieres tomorrow, picks up nearly fifteen years after the events of the original series, which adds a number of interesting and unexpected wrinkles for your favorite characters, including new roles, new scenery, new threats, and, of course, new relationships.

While the fan-favorite Stiles Stilinski (Dylan O'Brien) won't be making an appearance, his lady love Lydia Martin (Holland Roden) does star in a leading role and she has a huge part to play in the Pack's latest fight against the Nogitsune.

When we caught up with actress Holland Roden last week, she chose to remain mum about what's become of Lydia and Stiles in the years the series ended, but she did offer some insight into the natural evolution of their relationship and what fans can expect to see tomorrow.

"I think that the relationships are a lot more serious, obviously, than in high school. So, it's fun to have the fans watch where their ships are, which I've learned in the journey of Teen Wolf, I think it took me a couple of seasons to learn what a ship was. So, now with these ships, it's cool to see, I think as a fan - I was a fan of Friends growing up. - So, when you see that evolution of did they or didn't they or how far did they get into that relationship? it was quite fun that Jeff addressed it, and I think it was more cathartic than anything that Jeff addressed where Stiles and Lydia had gone, and wherever they were at currently, I think that was important."

Conversely, the relationship between Scott and Malia Tate (Shelley Hennig) has ended since we last saw them, making their imminent reunion a tad more awkward. However, you can't expect a bad breakup to keep Malia down as she's rebounded with a familiar face and someone that actress Shelley Hennig had plenty of fun working opposite. She tells us,

"I was surprised at Malia's new love interest, but I think that was more Shelley peeking through. Ryan is - Spoiler Alert! - Ryan Kelley is like a brother to me. So, when I read in the script, actually, when Ryan read in the script that our characters get together, his text to me was “NOOOOO” in all caps, because we're so close as friends, but I think it worked and we loved working together."

As for what happened between her and Scott, it sounds like she's happy to leave that in the past, although she does have her theories. Hennig adds,

"It's not exactly addressed what happens between or what had happened between Scott and Malia, but I had decided for myself, she was pissed that he was going to leave Beacon Hills and she said, “No, she wasn't leaving.” So, he left without her, and then maybe there was a physical altercation on Malia's end, because she is half-animal, and that's what she's so embarrassed about when he comes back. She has a lot of regrets about that.

So, we kind of filled that in and we played that in the moments that we could, and that's what I've always liked about this show is it may not explain everything about the relationships, but there's so much time that all the actors are so present that we find moments to fill that in and I think this movie, I'm hoping I see a lot of that."

A full moon rises in Beacon Hills, and with it a terrifying evil has emerged. The wolves are howling once again, calling for the return of Banshees, Werecoyotes, Hellhounds, Kitsunes, and every other shapeshifter in the night. But only a werewolf like Scott McCall, no longer a teenager yet still an Alpha, can gather both new allies and reunite trusted friends to fight back against what could be the most powerful and deadliest enemy they've ever faced.
