WWE Superstar and former SmackDown Women's Champion Liv Morgan has made no secret of the fact she's a big Chucky fan. When the USA Network (the home of RAW) greenlit a TV series, that seemed like her best chance to share the screen with the killer doll, and it finally happened last night.
As expected, Morgan dies at Chucky's hands, but not before a fun interaction during his in-show sitcom.
Things appear to be going well before the murderous scamp plays a clip of Morgan saying in an interview that her dream would be to star in a Chucky project and be killed by him. With that, he whips out a knife and proceeds to stab the pro wrestler to death, prompting Morgan to fall to the floor (while her blood splatters across Tiffany's face).
We can't imagine the WWE Superstar will be winning any prizes for her acting abilities here, but this must have been an absolute blast for her and a literal dream come true.
During a recent interview, Morgan reflected on the experience of joining the Chucky franchise.
"It felt very familiar, being in that setting; it's like I was at work in WWE," she recalled. "I didn't realize how much WWE prepares you for something like this - the cameras, the backstages - when I was filming 'Chucky' it felt like I was filming backstage for WWE, it felt so similar, which was very comforting."
The Chucky TV series has been a hit with fans, and while a cameo appearance like this feels a little gimmicky, it's a great way to appeal to wrestling fans and give the horror series a ratings boost. Even if you're not a fan of the action that plays out in the squared circle, anything that keeps the show alive is surely a plus.
