Say what you will about American Horror Story, but the divisive FX anthology series has always produced seriously striking imagery for its promotional art.

Now, the first poster for the upcoming twelfth season of AHS has been released, and it gives us a look at the character played by one of the show's three leading ladies, Emma Roberts, clutching what appears to be her newborn baby to her chest.

Nothing too unusual or creepy about that... aside for the fact that said baby is a giant spider!

Is she actually going to give birth to this monstrosity, or is it just symbolism? You really never know with this show, but a brief teaser released during SDCC earlier this year did show Roberts and her fellow leads, Cara Delevingne and Kim Kardashian, amongst a variety of surreal infant-related and arachnid-like imagery, so it's clearly going to be a major theme of the season.
