Michael Dougherty’s Trick 'r Treat has become a staple of horror fans' Halloween watch-lists over the years, but did you know the unrelentingly entertaining anthology film was never actually given a theatrical run when it was released back in 2009?
Now, Warner Brothers and Regal Theatres have announced that Trick 'r Treat will play on the big screen for the first time ever, just in time for the spooky season.
According to Regal's website, the movie will play in theatres on Thursday, October 6. The original Halloween, Scream 2 and The Lost Boys will also screen in October (check local listings for details).
If you have never seen Trick 'r Treat for some bizarre reason, this is the perfect opportunity to rectify a most egregious oversight!
“An everyday high school principal has a secret life as a serial killer; a college virgin might have just met the guy for her; a group of teenagers pull a mean prank; a woman who loathes the night has to contend with her holiday-obsessed husband; and a mean old man meets his match with the demonic, supernatural trick-or-treater whose name is Sam.”
