"Every trespasser will be punished."
Uncork'd Entertainment acquired a backwoods horror flick Those Who Call from Anubys Lopez in 2022 and slated it for a first quarter release this year. Now, the time has finally come for the film to see the light of day with the movie set to launch this week.
In the vein of The Lodge, The Heretics, and Winchester, the movie should hit a sweet spot for those who enjoy such horror flicks when it drops on digital this Monday.
The official poster is included below to get an idea of how "horrifying" this title is, and we've also included the trailer at the bottom.
Although Those Who Call is only four days from release, we wanted to preview the film for you so you can know whether you'll be tuning in to the streaming debut on Monday.
Uncork'd Entertainment is very excited for this release, with President Keith Leopard having made the following statement ahead of the movie's launch at the end of 2022.
"Those Who Call should be on your must-see list. Headlined by two very strong actresses, Those Who Call has so much going for it. We look forward to audiences discovering it in January, when we release.”
The film, starring Angie Sandoval, Yetlanezi Rodriguez, Reese Fast, Kevin Kinkade, and Addison Cousins, tells of two sisters that go on a road trip to Colorado. On their way there, their car breaks down in an abandoned old town. Soon they realize things aren’t what they seem, and they aren’t alone in the forest. They find themselves being hunted by a sadistic pagan cult and must do everything in their power to survive.
Those Who Call hits digital on Monday, January 10th.
