As a follow up on our report on Thursday's box office, Warner Bros.' Sinners was able to outgross Thunderbolts* for a second straight day.
The film also achieved another impressive milestone as it passed the $300M mark, worldwide.
Heading into the weekend, Final Destination: Bloodlines (another Warner Bros. flick) will secure the #1 spot, but industry analysts are split on whether Sinners or Thunderbolts* will emerge as the runner-up.
Either way, this is still an impressive feat for Sinners, considering that the film is in its 5th frame, while Thunderbolts The New Avengers is entering its third weekend.
The breakeven number for the film is estimated to be somewhere in the $230 million range, and Sinners has already far exceeded that number.
Widely hailed as the first breakout hit of 2025, Sinners is outperforming even the most optimistic forecasts, with its box office trajectory proving tough to predict. While some analysts are estimating a final global take of over $300 million, others suggest the film could push past the $400 million milestone if its current momentum holds.
Produced on a $90 million budget, the film has already amassed an impressive $303.5 million worldwide—$229.7 million from domestic audiences and $73.8 million internationally. What’s especially notable is the film’s remarkably stable week-to-week performance, showing minimal decline in earnings, a rarity in today’s front-loaded box office landscape.
