Dark Star Pictures and Bloody Disgusting have debuted a new red band trailer for The Passenger, which is coming to theatres on June 3rd before it hits VOD on June 28th.

The Spanish horror flick, from directors Raúl Cerezo and Fernando González Gómez, follows "a group of strangers sharing a ride who have their trip interrupted when the driver hits a woman hiking at night. They decide to help her, but quickly learn that something is wrong and that they shouldn’t have let her in at all."

The trailer features all manner of gross and gooey mayhem, as a shape-shifting creature lays waste to an unfortunate van of victims. There seems to be a definite John Carpenter's The Thing influence here, which is never a bad thing.

Check out the teaser below along with a new poster... but it might be a good idea to make sure you're not in the middle of lunch!

The Passanger stars Ramiro Blas (La Fuga), Cecilia Suárez (The House of Flowers), Paula Gallego (Cuéntame) and Cristina Alcázar (Cachorro). Do you guys plan on checking this one out?

That looks like something that would make both James Gunn and Sam Raimi proud!

Se ve buena, and I appreciate the touch of comedy between the gruesomeness of it all.
