Hocus Pocus 2, the highy-anticipated sequel to 1993 spooktacular family comedy about three witches returning to Salem, makes its long-awaited debut later this month. Ahead of its premiere on Disney+, we finally have an official trailer.

Although we got a brief look at the Sanderson Sisters' return in a teaser this summer, this trailer sheds more light on what we can expect when they re-emerge 29 years after the Black Flame Candle had been lit. Although times have changed since Winifred, Sarah and Mary last walked the streets of Salem, their goal remains the same: steal the souls of children in order to live forever. It also looks like we'll get some backstory on the three sisters and how they came to gain their powers.

Fans of the original Hocus Pocus will certainly notice some references and callbacks to the first film. And it looks like Hocus Pocus 2 will have similar humor and charm.

It’s been 29 years since someone lit the Black Flame Candle and resurrected the 17th-century sisters, and they are looking for revenge. Now it is up to three high-school students to stop the ravenous witches from wreaking a new kind of havoc on Salem before dawn on All Hallow’s Eve.

Hocus Pocus 2 sees the return of Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy as the Sanderson Sisters -- Winifred, Sarah and Mary, respectively. They are joined by Doug Jones (“The Shape of Water”), Whitney Peak (“Gossip Girl”), Lilia Buckingham (“Dirt”), Belisa Escobedo (“American Horror Stories”), Hannah Waddingham (“Ted Lasso”), Tony Hale (“Veep”), Sam Richardson (“The Tomorrow War,” “Good Boys”), Juju Brener (“Vanquish”), Froy Gutierrez (“Teen Wolf”), Taylor Paige Henderson and Nina Kitchen. It's directed by Anne Fletcher ("The Proposal) and written by Jen D'Angelo ("Workaholics").

The Sanderson Sisters return when Hocus Pocus 2 premieres on Disney+ on September 30.
