We got an obscured glimpse of Jamie Clayton's new take on Pinhead in a recent teaser promo for Hulu's upcoming Hellraiser movie, but these official stills from the reboot give is our first proper look at the Sense8 actor as a female incarnation of the iconic Hell Priest.
The images (via EW) also feature a brand-new Cenobite known as The Mask, and Odessa A'zion as new protagonist, Riley.
"It was so visceral and so impactful," says director David Bruckner of Clive Barker's original horror flick. "It was a movie that really really scared me. It's digging into things that are so troubling that I was almost afraid of the people that created it!"
Although this new Hellraiser film will serve as a revival of the franchise, Brucker is adamant that it's not just retreading old ground.
"This is not a remake," says the filmmaker. "I just didn't think you could ever remake the original Hellraiser. It's too much its own thing and it would be, I think, perilous territory for filmmakers, because how do you top that? This is a new story in the Hellraiser universe."

Barker's 1987 adaptation of his own novella introduced one of cinema's most recognizable and enduring movie monsters in Pinhead, the leader of a group of demonic beings known as Cenobites. The movie went on to achieve cult status, spawning multiple inferior sequels, a short-lived TV series, comic books, and more.
Specific details on this new version are still few and far between, but Bruckner has now given us a better idea of what to expect. "It's the tale of a young woman, who's struggling with addiction and compulsive behavior, that comes in contact accidentally with the box and unfortunately begins to dabble with it. And chaos ensues."
Hellraiser is set to premiere on October 7.
