Released all the way back in 2008 for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC, Dead Space is a survival horror game developed by EA Redwood Shores. Fifteen years later, specifically on January 27th for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, EA Motive is releasing a remake of the classic.
The Dead Space remake will be the first entry in the iconic video game series since 2013. EA Motive has released the very first gameplay trailer for the upcoming remake which shows off not only some similarities to the original game but also some changes.
For instance, while Isaac Clarke was a voiceless protagonist in the original Dead Space game, he spoke in Dead Space 2 and Dead Space 3. It seems that Isaac will have a speaking role in the remake.
However, for the most part, the remake seems to be loyal to the original. Aside from a few differences, it appears to be a perfect replication of the awesome horror atmosphere of the original.
Isaac is shown venturing through a mining station and taking on horrific Necromorphs whilst dealing with his own growing psychosis. While predominantly a third-person survival horror shooter, the game also includes enviromental puzzle sections.
