Addams Family fans have been wondering who had been cast to play Uncle Fester in Tim Burton's Wednesday series since the project was first announced, and thanks to a full trailer for the upcoming Netflix show, we finally have our answer.
Gomez's impossibly pale brother will be played by the great Fred Armisen!
“They really did such a great job with the makeup and everything. I had no eyebrows. It was prosthetics over my eyebrows to give me that look. But I think that bald caps don’t look great all the time, so I was hoping to just make it that much more convincing,” Armisen tells Vanity Fair.
Check out the new trailer below, which also reveals Christina Ricci's mystery character.
Wednesday also stars Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia, Luis Guzmán as Gomez, Isaac Ordonez as Pugsly, and Thing... as Thing.
The coming-of-age comedy series, which has Al Gough and Miles Millar (Smallville, Into the Badlands) on board as showrunners, is said to be "a sleuthing, supernaturally infused mystery charting Wednesday Addams’ years as a student at Nevermore Academy. Wednesday’s attempts to master her emerging psychic ability, thwart a monstrous killing spree that has terrorized the local town, and solve the supernatural mystery that embroiled her parents 25 years ago — all while navigating her new and very tangled relationships at Nevermore."
Burton will make his TV directing debut with the show, and will also executive produce alongside Jonathan Glickman, Andrew Mittman, Kayla Alpert, Gail Berman, Steve Stark, and Kevin Miserocchi.
A premiere date is expected to be announced at the upcoming Tudum fan-event.
