AMC has released one final trailer for The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live before its premiere next month. The upcoming limited series serves as a spin-off to The Walking Dead, following beloved characters Rick Grimes and Michonne on their desperate quest to find each other.

The series marks the couple's return to the small screen and the first time we've seen Rick since he was presumed dead in the bridge explosion in The Walking Dead Season 9. After learning that her spouse had survived, Michonne set out to find him in Season 10 of the hit series.

And now the two are back and on a mission to reunite with one another, despite the ever-increasing odds.

The trailer highlights the struggles both characters will have to endure on their journey in this post-apocalyptic world. While zombies may have been the cause of humanity's downfall, true to the series nature, it's the ones who are alive who pose the biggest risks.

The synopsis reads:

The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live presents an epic love story of two characters changed by a changed world. Kept apart by distance. By an unstoppable power. By the ghosts of who they were. Rick and Michonne are thrown into another world, built on a war against the dead... And ultimately, a war against the living. Can they find each other and who they were in a place and situation unlike any they've ever known before? Are they enemies? Lovers? Victims? Victors? Without each other, are they even alive -- or will they find that they, too, are the Walking Dead?

In addition to the trailer, AMC also released a new poster featuring some firey new key art of the two main characters.

The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live is a limited series and will consist of six episodes. It's set to premiere on Sunday, February 25, 2024 on AMC and AMC+.

In addition to Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurira reprising their roles as Rick Gimes and Michonne, respectively, they are joined by Pollyanna McIntosh, Lesley-Ann Brandt, Terry O’Quinn, Matthew August Jeffers, Craig Tate and Andrew Bachelor, among others.

The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live is the sixth spin-off of The Walking Dead, AMC's hit adaptation of the comic book series of the same name by Robert Kirkman, Tony Moore, and Charlie Adlard. AMC's The Walking Dead first debuted in 2010 and ran for 11 seasons (177 episodes) before concluding in November 2022.
