We've seen a few teaser promos, but the first full trailer for AMC's The Walking Dead: Dead City is now online, and it gives us a much better idea of what to expect from this highly-anticipated Maggie/Negan-centric series.
The footage reveals that Maggie and Negan join forces because the former's son, Hershel, now played by Logan Kim, has been kidnapped. His distraught mother tells the man that brutally murdered her husband (Glen, just in case you put that traumatizing moment out of your mind) that he's the "only one" that can get him back.
We're not sure who took Maggie's son or why Negan is needed for his rescue, but if a recently leaked set video is any indication, this truce is going to be short-lived!

Star Lauren Cohan appeared at a WonderCon event in Anaheim, California earlier this year, and was asked about the shaky alliance between these once bitter enemies.
“It’s interesting, because we see a very unprocessed level of trauma that we know happened between Maggie and Negan. In Dead City, we really get a chance to [ask], ‘What is this? What does it take to move through it?’ And more than anything, it’s a chance for us to be forced together on this mission. The tension and unmovable things are still very present. We’ve seen them intersect so often, but in this show, it’s really this tunnel that they’re trapped in to face things they may have run away from, more so what Maggie has run away from and what Negan‘s presence brings up for her. It’s like an exercise in intimacy with the worst person.”
