Netflix has unveiled our first look at Mike Flanagan's (Midnight Mass, Doctor Sleep, Gerald's Game) next horror series for the streamer, The Fall of the House of Usher.
The show won't actually serve as a direct adaptation of Edgar Allan Poe's 1839 short story, as it will also take inspiration from several of the legendary writer's other works. Even so, the basic premise seems to be pretty much the same.
"Ruthless siblings Roderick and Madeline Usher have built Fortunato Pharmaceuticals into an empire of wealth, privilege and power. But past secrets come to light when the heirs to the Usher dynasty start dying at the hands of a mysterious woman from their youth," reads the official synopsis.

The Fall of the House of Usher is set to premiere on Netflix on October 12.
