AMC's upcoming adaptation of the late Anne Rice's Lives of the Mayfair Witches trilogy has found its Lasher.
According to THR, Jack Huston (The Irishman, Boardwalk Empire) has joined the cast as the demonic creature, described as a "powerful shape-shifter who has been bound to the Mayfair witches for hundreds of years.”
Huston joins Alexandra Daddario as Rowan Mayfair, a neurosurgeon who has made peace with her occult heritage, but soon learns that there's so much more to her family history when she discovers that the Mayfairs have been plagued by Lasher for centuries.
Harry Hamlin and Tongayi Chirisa will also star as Cortland Mayfair Ciprien, respectively. Esta Spalding (Masters of Sex, On Becoming a God in Central Florida) and Michelle Ashford (Masters of Sex, The Pacific) are both on board as executive producers and writers, while Spalding will also serve as showrunner.
The Lives of the Mayfair Witches hasn't been given an official premiere date, but it is expected to air later this year.
