Just in time for Halloween, Eli Roth (The House with a Clock in Its Walls, Hostel) and James Frey (Alpha Betas)'s forthcoming animated series Fright Krewe has released a new teaser trailer courtesy of DreamWorks Animation Television.
Frey is a co-author of the Lorien Legacies, a young adult sci-fi novel series consisting of seven books, the first of which was made into the underappreciated sci-fi movie I Am Number Four in 2011.
Watch the intriguing trailer below and let us know in the comments if you plan to watch the series debut on Hulu and Peacock on October 2. Ten episodes will make up the first season.
Five unlikely New Orleans teens must band together to save the city from supernatural threats when a demonic force is unwittingly unleashed. With the series set in "The Big Easy", it's only natural that a little voodoo magic comes into play.
The teens are granted a variety of special powers to combat the various mystical threats they'll face, which include ghosts, monsters, Louisiana's version of werewolves (which are called Rougarous) and a whole host of other nefarious creatures.
The main voice cast for the series includes Sydney Mikayla as Soleil, Tim Johnson Jr. as Maybe, Grace Lu as Missy, Chester Rushing as Stanley, Terrence Little Gardenhigh as Pat, and Jacques Colimon as Belial.
Recurring voice actors include Vanessa Hudgens as Madison, Josh Richards as Nelson, X Mayo as Alma, Rob Paulsen as Lou Garou, David Kaye as Mayor Furst, JoNell Kennedy as Marie Laveau, and Judy Le Claire, Melanie Laurent as Fiona Bunrady, Chris Jai Alex as Otis Bunrady, Reggie Watkins as Paulie, Cherise Boothe voices both Ayida Weddo and Ayizan, Keston John has the dual role of Papa Legba and Ogoun, Grey Delisle voices Judith Le Claire, and Krizia Bajos portrays Luciana Rodriguez.
Alongside Roth and Frey, Joanna Lewis and Kristine Songco also served as executive producers.
Shane Acker and Mitchell Smith are also listed as co-executive prodcuers.
