Sorry Jack! Tiffany's back!
Though it shouldn't really come as much of a surprise after she emerged as one of the highlights of the first season, Jennifer Tilly is set to reprise the role of Tiffany Valentine for the upcoming second season of Chucky.
“We’re thrilled to start pulling the strings on a second season of puppet mayhem with Chucky,” said franchise creator Don Mancini in a statement. “Many thanks to our partners at USA, Syfy and UCP for their incredible support and guidance bringing Chucky to the small screen, bigger than ever. And to the fans, Chucky sends his still-undying thanks, and a message: ‘This isn’t over, not by a long shot. You better watch your backs in 2022!’”
Deadline broke the news, which Tilly later confirmed with a new behind-the-scenes shot of Tiff and a few plastic pals.
The first season concluded with the deranged Tiff turning her back on the even more maniacal Chucky (Brad Dourif), scuppering his plan to inhabit an army of Good Guy dolls and lay waste to the town. The doll form of Tiffany (who also split her soul at the end of Cult of Chucky) then accosts Andy (Alex Vincent) at gunpoint as he's attempting to drive the rest of the dolls away.
Then, right at the end, we see that human Tiff has kidnapped Nica (Fiona Dourif) and amputated her arms and legs in order to prevent her from escaping. Yes, things got dark!
No release date has been announced, but Chucky is expected to return later this year.
