SYFY has finally announced a premiere date for the highly anticipated second season of Chucky! The notorious demonic doll will return to seek revenge against Jake and his allies for foiling his psychotic scheme in the season 1 finale just in time for Halloween on October 5.

We also have a first teaser promo, and while it doesn't give much away, we do get some glimpses of folks enjoying the spooky season (not for long!) and a shot of a sinister Chucky Jack-O-Lantern.

A new season 2 synopsis reads: "After his diabolical plan to invade America’s children’s hospitals was foiled in season one, Chucky now seeks revenge on those he holds responsible: surviving teens Jake (Zackary Arthur), Devon (Björgvin Arnarson) and Lexy (Alyvia Alyn Lind), along with his ex Tiffany, now his sworn enemy."

New cast members include Meg Tilly (Psycho 2, Body Snatchers), Gina Gershon (Bound, Killer Joe), Joe Pantoliano (Memento), Tony Nappo (Saw II), and Sutton Stracke (Real Housewives).

Check out the teaser below.

Brad Dourif will return as the voice of Chucky, and it was recently confirmed that Fiona Dourif will also be back as Nica... or what's left of her, at least. They join Zackary Arthur as Jake Wheeler, Björgvin Arnarson as Devon Evans, Alyvia Alyn Lind as Lexy Cross, Fiona Dourif as Nica Pierce, Alex Vincent as Andy Barclay, Christine Elise as Kyle and Barbara Alyn Woods as Mayor Michelle Cross.

After a vintage Chucky doll turns up at a suburban yard sale, an idyllic American town is thrown into chaos as a series of horrifying murders begin to expose the town’s hypocrisies and secrets. Meanwhile, the arrival of enemies — and allies — from Chucky’s past threatens to expose the truth behind the killings, as well as the demon doll’s untold origins as a seemingly ordinary child who somehow became this notorious monster.”

Chucky has never really scared me much. Maybe if I were a kid who played with dolls it would be a differnt story.
