Confirming a recent rumor that did the rounds online, Pride.com is reporting that nonbinary The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina actor Lachlan Watson has joined the cast of Chucky season 2 as Glen/Glenda.
First introduced in Seed of Chucky, the gender-nonconforming child of Chucky and Tiffany was also a homicidal doll, but his origins are a little more complicated. Glen was born alongside twin sister Glenda, who lives inside their body. There are also some voodoo curses and body-swapping involved, of course.
Last we saw of the character, they had become human like their mother, which is where Watson comes in.
Tiffany actress Jennifer Tilly took to Twitter to share a behind-the-scenes photo of Lachlan in-costume.
Brad Dourif will return as the voice of Chucky, and it was recently confirmed that Fiona Dourif will also be back as Nica... or what's left of her, at least. Poor Nica Pierce did not have a very easy time of things during the first season, and Tiffany ultimately decided to amputate the long-suffering Chucky vessel's arms and legs in order to keep her from escaping.
They join Zackary Arthur as Jake Wheeler, Björgvin Arnarson as Devon Evans, Alyvia Alyn Lind as Lexy Cross, Alex Vincent as Andy Barclay, Christine Elise as Kyle and Barbara Alyn Woods as Mayor Michelle Cross.
“After a vintage Chucky doll turns up at a suburban yard sale, an idyllic American town is thrown into chaos as a series of horrifying murders begin to expose the town’s hypocrisies and secrets. Meanwhile, the arrival of enemies — and allies — from Chucky’s past threatens to expose the truth behind the killings, as well as the demon doll’s untold origins as a seemingly ordinary child who somehow became this notorious monster.”
