The Munsters director Rob Zombie continues to keep his fans up to date on Instagram as work continues on the upcoming reboot, and while his latest post may not seem particularly revealing, a closer look reveals a teasing glimpse of a main character.
The filmmaker announced that musician/composer/producer Zeuss (31, 3 from Hell) will score The Munsters, and the accompanying behind-the-scenes photo gives us a distant glimpse of Sheri Moon Zombie as Lily Munster.
It's not exactly a clear shot, but this does mark our first full-color look at the Munster matriarch.
We recently learned that The Munsters had earned a Parental Guidance rating for "Macabre and suggestive material, scary images and language."
The supporting cast includes Richard Brake as Dr. Henry Augustus Wolfgang, Catherine Schell as Zoya Krupp the gypsy queen, Cassandra "Elvira" Peterson as Barbara Carr, and Jorge as a new character named Floop, who is described as “Dr. Wolfgang’s hunchback assistant and Herman Munster’s best buddy.”
The movie will be released by Universal Home Entertainment, and there's a lot of speculation that it'll be a Peacock exclusive. This has yet to be confirmed, but all episodes of the classic '60s series are currently available to watch on the streaming service.
