Horror movies tend to be released in the fall. While a Halloween-adjacent release may provide the most convenient marketing tactics and a shoo-in to sell movie tickets, there are still those who prefer to flex their fear muscle all year long. This year, horror releases are more staggered, with the pandemic pushing back so many films from their initial intended release dates.
Because of this, Morbius, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Moon Knight, and more are all scheduled to keep viewers on the edge of their seats over the next few months. In addition to the big-name Marvel titles, there is also a ton of horror content in the interim, with The Long Night providing a perfect example.
To learn more about The Long Night, we chatted with Producer Daemon Hillin for a little bit more clarity on exactly what sort of scares are in store. Before viewing our chat, however, we've included a look at the official poster for The Long Night along with the complete synopsis.
While searching for the parents she’s never known, New York transplant Grace (Scout Taylor-Compton) returns to her childhood southern stomping grounds with her boyfriend (Nolan Gerard Funk) to investigate a promising lead on her family’s whereabouts. Upon arrival, the couple’s weekend takes a bizarre, terrifying turn as a nightmarish cult and their maniacal leader terrorize the pair en route to fulfilling a twisted ancient apocalyptic prophecy.
