On the heels of the recent poster, Atlas has debuted the first trailer for horror parody, The Mean One.
This unofficial retelling of the classic Christmas tale stars David Howard Thornton (Terrifier 2's Art the Clown) as the familiar-looking green grouch (they can't actually use the name Grinch), who brutally murders young Cindy You-Know-Who's (Krystle Martin) parents one Christmas Eve. 20 years later, a well-trained Cindy vows to trap the miserable monster and end his reign of terror once and for all.
Like Winnie The Pooh: Blood and Honey, this is a low-budget effort that really shouldn't be taken very seriously. It might be good for a few laughs, but it's difficult to imagine The Mean One turning out to be much more than an amusing distraction this Holiday season (hey, sometimes that's enough).

"In the audacious new parody, The Mean One (Terrifier 2‘s David Howard Thornton) is a hairy, green-skinned grump in a Santa suit, living on a mountain high above the town of Newville, despising the holiday season. Young Cindy You-Know-Who (Krystle Martin), whose parents were butchered by The Mean One twenty Christmases earlier, is returning to town to seek closure… but when the Mean One launches a new reign of terror that threatens to destroy Christmas, Cindy finds a bold new purpose – trapping and killing the monster."
Directed by Steven LaMorte, The Mean One also stars Chase Mullins, John Bigham, Erik Baker, Flip Kobler, and Amy Schumacher.
