NEW SCREAM VI Trailer Teaser Released Showing a Shotgun Weilding Ghostface

The official Scream twitter account has released a brief teaser showcasing a tense sequence with Ghostface ahead of the full trailer.

We've been hearing that a full trailer for Scream VI would be releasing sometime this week, and now we officially have a confirmation of when the trailer will be released with this scary new teaser, which shows lead characters Sam (Melissa Barrera) and Tara (Jenna Ortega) hiding from a shotgun weilding Ghostface at a convenience store.

Sadly the teaser ends before we get to see how this tense sequence plays out, but thankfully we don't have to wait long as the official trailer is scheduled to be released online tomorrow.

This latest Scream is moving the thrills to New York City where we can expect an even more dangerous Ghostface for our heroes to go up against. But in the meantime, check out the teaser below and don't forget to watch the full trailer January 19th.

One exciting aspect with this new entry is the return of fan favorite character Kirby Reed portrayed by Hayden Panettiere returning to the franchise after her debut in Scream 4 back in 2011.

"Yeah, I felt a little left out." Hayden told EW "It's true. I did feel a little like I had to find my way back into the new group because that crew worked on the prior film. But they were all so welcoming. It was interesting, they made me part of their family that I had already been apart of. [laughs] So it was like an estranged aunt coming back into the fold."

How Kirby fits into this new chapter is currently unknown. But we only have a few more months until we get to see her come face to face with Ghostface once again.

Scream VI slashes into theatres March 10th.
