Following last week's first look at Tobin Bell as the returning John Kramer, aka the Jigsaw Killer, Lionsgate has debuted a new theatrical poster for the tenth instalment in the long-running Saw franchise.
The one-sheet features one of Jigsaw's unfortunate victims "playing" the twisted murderer's latest games. We're not certain what's going on here, but wouldn't be at all surprised if living creatures (most likely rats) were unleashed into those tubes to make their way right to the poor bastard's eyeballs.
Check out the poster at the link below.
Saw X will be set between the events of the first two movies, and focus on "a sick and desperate John travelling to Mexico for a risky and experimental medical procedure in hopes of a miracle cure for his cancer — only to discover the entire operation is a scam to defraud the most vulnerable."
"Armed with a newfound purpose, the infamous serial killer returns to his work, turning the tables on the con artists in his signature visceral way through devious, deranged and ingenious traps."
It sounds like they might be attempting to spin Jigsaw as more of an avenging anti-hero than an outright villain here, which may prove to be an interesting take.
The tenth installment in the popular horror franchise is directed by Kevin Greutert (Saw VI, Saw VII) from a screenplay by Peter Goldfinger (Jigsaw, Spiral) and Josh Stolberg.
The cast also includes Synnove Macody Lund, Steven Brand, Michael Beach, Renata Vaca, Paulette Hernandez, Joshua Okamoto, and Octavio Hinojosa, with Shawnee Smith set to reprise the role of Jigsaw's right-hand woman, Amanda Young.
