Well, this seems familiar. It looks like Doctor Strange In the Multiverse of Madness has inspired the newest installment in the Ouija Shark franchise, as this time the ghastly great white is thwarted by a sorcerer across multiple universes.
While this idea may sound crazy at first, multiversal storytelling is all the rage at the moment. With Spider-Man: No Way Home at Sony and The Flash from Warner Bros, the industry is full of the concept at the moment, and the storytelling approach is what viewers seem to be drawn to, with Loki being widely regarded as one of Marvel Studios' best series and Deadpool 3 sending fans spinning with rumors of the multiversal elements it holds.
Taking all of this into consideration, it actually makes a lot of sense that the creators would aim their newest release for their giant shark-loving fanbase in the direction of the multiverse. It is currently familiar territory that can bait viewers and reel them back into the Sharknado type of fun that movies like Ouija Shark.
It's been announced that the film will release one month from the day this article was written, on July 25th. Check out the poster and synopsis below and drop your thoughts in the comments section!
