So yeah, it's aliens.

A new TV spot for Get Out director Jordan Peele's upcoming horror sci-fi horror flick, Nope, is now online, and it finally confirms that the mysterious threat spooking the main characters played by Daniel Kaluuya, Steven Yeun and Keke Palmer (and their horses) in the trailers is indeed extraterrestrial in nature.

We figured as much already, of course, but that shot of a huge flying saucer hovering in the sky leaves little doubt.

Specific plot details remain under wraps, but horses also seem to factor heavily into whatever the heck is going on, with another shot giving us a quick glimpse of a strange, misshapen hoof. Extraterrestrial equines returning to Earth to take our horse population back to their home planet? Maybe not, but you can guarantee Peele has some shocking surprises in store.

Peele wrote the script for his next "horror event" film and will also produce alongside Ian Cooper under his Monkeypaw Productions banner. Sara Scott and Tony Ducret will oversee the project, which is currently set for release on July 22, 2022.
