MONSTER HIGH: THE MOVIE Teaser Introduces Live-Action Ghoulfriends From Mattel & Nickelodeon's Upcoming Film

The news broken that a live-action movie adaptation of Monster High was in the works a while ago, and fans finally have a teaser trailer to get a glimpse at what's to come from the "Ghoulfriends".

Mattel's Monster High is beloved by people around the world, and while the multi-media super-franchise may seem like a simple toy line for the uninitiated, it's far more. Monster High may have begun as a toy line and animated webtoon back in 2010, but the demand for the spooktacular characters and their stories caused an expansion sooner than expected.

Monster High is incredibly popular, which bodes well for a live-action attempt at the film. Beyond the spooky horror fun, it will likely be light-hearted, especially given the tagline. Other toy lines have also done extremely well such as The Lego Movie, Transformers, etc.

In just a decade, Monster High fans have been treated to comics, video games, movies, music, and even long-form movie content that have been evolving alongside the toys themselves. Now, the franchise has evolved even further with Monster High: The Movie, as the "Ghoulfriends" are finally brought to the live-action world.

Paramount+ took to social media in order to give fans a first look at what to expect from this upcoming live-action version, and you can find out what's in store with the teaser below.

"Some secrets are too eerie-sistable to keep quiet", the teaser states while calling it a "bob-dead musical." While announcing the upcoming live-action Netflix film, however, neither the streaming platform, Matel, Paramount+, or Nickelodeon has revealed when it will be available to watch.

Thanks to Collider, we have some imagery to showcase the upcoming toyline come-to-life and the characters that inhabit the monster and human worlds. Check out the following line-up, which includes posters for the main characters and their pun-tastic names.
