This one has flown under many radars, but a new supernatural crime slasher called Johnny and Clyde is coming to theaters later this year, and Redbox has now picked up the on-demand distribution rights.
Directed by Tom DeNucci (Vault), the movie is being billed as a new take on infamous true-life crime tale Bonnie and Clyde, and stars Avan Jogia and Ajani Russell as "two serial killers who are madly in love and on an endless crime spree. They have their sights set on robbing a prosperous casino – owned by crime boss Alana and guarded by a demonic slayer that she commands."
“Fans of dark, gritty action movies are going to love Johnny & Clyde,” said Galen Smith, CEO, Redbox. “Tom has created a film that will have fans on the edge of their seats. We’re looking forward to releasing the film later this year.”
Megan Fox will play Alana, and we have a first official look at the ruthless gangster via Verdi Productions below. The TMNT actress also shared a behind-the-scenes snap to Instagram.
Rounding out the cast is Vanessa Angel (Kingpin), Bai Ling (The Crow), Robert LaSardo (The Mule), Armen Garo (The Departed), Sean Ringgold (American Gangster), Nick Principe (Vault), Brett Azar (Young Rock), Sydney Jenkins (Don’t Look Up), and Charles W. Harris III (Glass).
Be sure to keep an eye out for the first Johnny and Clyde trailer, which should be with us very soon.
