Framework Productions' Herd will have its world premiere at this year's FrightFest horror convention in London on August 26. Tickets for the screening are already sold out.
Herd is set within a world where zombies exist, but the populace appears to be safely managing the virus as society has yet to reach the dilapidated conditions seen in other familiar zombie projects like The Walking Dead or Black Summer. However, just like those shows, it seems the most dangerous element surrounding the protagonist is unknown people, not the actual undead.
Directed by Steven Pierce, the film stars Ellen Adair (Trick, The Sinner) Mitzi Akaha (Bashira, Archive 81), Corbin Bernsen (Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang, Tales from the Hood), Dana Synder (Aqua Teen Hunger Force), Amanda Fuller (All The Creatures Were Stirring), Timothy V. Murphy (Snowpiercer, Tragedy Girls), and Jeremy Holm (Mr. Robot, Brooklyn 45).
"I am beyond enthusiastic that Herd is making its World Premiere at Frightfest in London. Alan Jones and his team put on one of the most exciting genre events in the world and I am so proud to be a contributor. Having the film be seen for the first time on such an incredible screen and in the heart of London is a filmmaker’s dream come true," said Pierce in a press release.
FrightFest is the UK's biggest fan-driven horror film festival and will take place at Cineworld Leicester Square, London. The festival will run from August 24-28. Other notable films screening at the festival include Joe Lynch's Suitable Flesh, Jenn Wexler's The Sacrifice Game, and Raymond Wood’s Faceless After Dark.
