If there's one lesson to be learned from the trailer, it's probably don't trust sketchy medical procedures that take place just outside of Mexico.
The second lesson would probably be that if you're a scammer, be very, very careful who you target. They might turn out to be homicidal maniacs who torture their victims in elaborate death traps.

Spiral, starring Chris Rock was the ninth and previous installment in the franchise. Released on May 14, 2021, the film grossed $40.6 million worldwide from a production budget of $20 million.
However, critics eviscerated the film as it went on to earn an aggregate Rotten Tomatoes score of only 37% from 226 reviews. Lionsgate clearly went back to the drawing board and rethought its approach.
Barring any SAG-AFTRA strike-related delays, the studio is currently planning to release Saw X on September 29, 2023, in domestic North American theaters.
