There are a lot of science fiction films that double as horror movies, especially when it comes to space and extraterrestrials. If Alien isn't the perfect example, then Event Horizon is quite a contender.
Event Horizon came out 25 years ago and helped inform where horror films set in outer space have gone in the past couple of decades. It stars Laurence Fishburne, Kathleen Quinlan, and Sam Niell, who give performances so stellar that the film is coming back into orbit for a limited edition 4K and Blu-ray Steelbook event.
The coveted release copy includes a number of features such as the video and theatrical trailers, five documentaries about the making of Event Horizon, and commentary by director Paul W.S. Anderson and producer Jeremy Bolt.In addition, there is a director's commentary alongside the filming of the movie as well as the deleted and extended scenes, and something called The Unseen Event Horizon.
