ELVIRA Encourages Us To Watch More Horror Movies This Friday The 13th In New Promo Video

The incomparable Elvira: Mistress of the Dark (aka Cassandra Peterson) has taken to social media to share a video encouraging her followers to watch a horror film or two this Friday the 13th.

Today is Friday the 13th, and while it may not be as significant to horror fans as Halloween, it's still the perfect excuse to sit down and watch a scary movie or two.

Cassandra Peterson, aka Elvira: Mistress of the Dark, feels the same way, and has taken to Twitter to share a video to encourage her followers to sample some horror tonight. In fact, as Elvira explains below, it might even be beneficial to your health!

We're not sure what this promoting, exactly, but most (all?) of the clips are from Netflix film and TV projects, so we assume the streamer is being it.

Peterson rose to popularity portraying the iconic horror hostess character on Los Angeles television station KHJ-TV before going on to host Elvira's Movie Macabre, a weekly B movie presentation. The horror icon will next appear in Rob Zombie's The Munsters reboot as Barbara Carr, "the #1 real estate agent in all of Mockingbird Heights."

Do you plan on marking Friday the 13th with a horror flick? If so, let us know what you'll be watching in the comments section.
