Although it may not seem like it, the COVID-19 pandemic has been happening for three years. In that time it has inspired a lot of quarantine and pandemic focused movies and even projects that weren't initially inspired by the pandemic had eerily similar plots.
For example, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier suffered from extensive rewrites and removal of plot lines and even entire characters. Meanwhile, projects like Sweet Tooth and Y: The Last Man faced criticism for taking advantage of the situation despite being based on comic runs that dated back years prior.
A new horror movie that releases this month has no intention of shying away from the pandemic. Instead, it embraces the current event with the title Camping Trip: Far From Covid Far From Safe, a title which all but explains itself, though we included a poster for you just in case.
What do you guys think? Will you be watching Camping Trip: Far From Covid Far From Safe this month?

In the summer of 2020, two couples decide to go on a COVID era camping trip after months of being in lockdown. The freedom of nature and the company of their best friends offer the group a rare sense of normality, but though secluded, they're not alone.
Nearby, during a botched drop off, two goons decide to go rogue; inadvertently, implicating the campers. What started as a fun-filled vacation quickly turns into a test of loyalty and survival. Suddenly the pandemic is the least of their worries.
Camping Trip: Far From Covid Far From Safe premieres on digital on August 16th.
