Slasher fans have been eagerly awaiting a first look at some footage from A24's Bodies Bodies Bodies ever since rave reviews followed the movie's premiere at SXSW last year, and the first trailer will be released online tomorrow.
In the meantime, we have an unsettling new poster featuring several sets of eyes peering through the darkness and a lethal-looking blade slicing through the tagline, "this is not a safe space."
The synopsis reads: "“When a group of rich 20-somethings plan a hurricane party at a remote family mansion, a party game turns deadly in this fresh and funny look at backstabbing, fake friends, and one party gone very, very wrong.”
It may sound like pretty generic horror fare, but Dutch actress/director Halina Reijn's (Instinct) English language debut is said to put a clever, satirical spin of a well-worn premise.
Check out the poster below, and be sure to drop back tomorrow for the trailer.
Bodies Bodies Bodies stars Amandla Stenberg, Maria Bakalova, Pete Davidson, Rachel Sennott, Myha’la Herrold, Chase Sui Wonders, and Lee Pace, and is set to hit theaters on Auguest 5.
