Full Moon Features creates nearly countless horror films, with many of them utilizing practical effects. The Demonic Toys Universe is just one example, but it is currently in the spotlight.
Baby Oopsie: Murder Dolls is the newest chapter in the shared universe of films, but it has been split into four parts, with episodes premiering each week.
Last week, we spoke with lead actress Libbie Higgins to promote Baby Oopsie: Murder Dolls Chapter One. Now that chapter two of the four-part series is set to release next week, we decided to speak with another of the film's actors who really stood out in Chapter One, LeJon Woods.
Woods gave a lot of great answers and provided insight not only on the show, but a number of other things which you can hear about in the podcast player below.
Lejon Woods: I'm not a super religious guy, I come from a baptist background and I can't say that as an adult that I've continued that very well. (Laughs) So it was just one of those things where you get the role and you do the best as you possibly can to get into that character and just take it from there. Hopefully it sells. (Laughs)
This project was simply dipping my toes into Actor Access and seeing the post and going after it. And then I got a contact from Jessica Hughes, the casting director, and we hit it off and everything. And I submitted my audition and they enjoyed it and here we are.
They built the confession booth, we were in a garage. (Laughs) And it was about 32 degrees man. If you really pay attention you can really see my eyes watering from how damn cold it is.
I worked with everybody out of the whole production inside and out except for a few people behind the camera, like the wardrobe and sound people. But beyond that, after the experience we had, I fell in love with everybody. It was an amazing project to be a part of.
I was lucky enough to get the whole script. And I was glad because naturally it helps you tie things together and it makes your scenes make more sense and makes other scenes make more sense, so I'm glad that I was able to get the whole script.
It's funny; I actually played a father before, with Richard Riehle. I played opposite him in a role for a production called Of Children and Wine. And of course, that role was a little bit more reserved. A strict and direct father, and of course Baby Oopsie steps outside of the cloth a little bit. (Laughs)
Will you be tuning in to Baby Oopsie: Murder Dolls Chapter Two when it releases? What do you think of LeJon's comments?
